No prior commercial experience in online services is required - we'll help you build the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.  During the internship, you will be guided by experienced Ubisoft engineers and mentors working on a variety of projects. Through a combination of practical assignments, real-world scenarios, and collaborative learning, you will gain firsthand experience with the challenges and technologies encountered by Online Services Programmers every day.  As an Online Services Programmer, you will contribute to systems that power players' online journeys. You'll help develop and maintain services that connect players, games, and platforms, enabling seamless gaming experiences across the globe.  Examples of Online Services include:  Authentication & Account Management  User Profiles  Challenges & Achievements  Statistics & Leaderboards  Friends & Social Features  Store & Monetization  Battle Pass & Progression  Moderation & Sanctions  And many more player-facing online features  Throughout the program, you will learn modern backend development practices, gain exposure to large-scale online systems, and collaborate with professionals who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and expertise.  What You'll Do During the Internship  During the program, you will:  Participate actively in workshops, training sessions, and practical assignments  Collaborate with mentors and fellow interns to solve real-world development challenges  Learn the tools, technologies, and development practices used by Ubisoft teams  Gain hands-on experience across different aspects of Online Services development  Develop your programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills  Write clean, maintainable code and clear technical documentation  Build a strong foundation in backend and online services engineering  What Your Career Path Can Look Like After the Program  Upon successful completion of the internship, you may have the opportunity to join Ubisoft as a Junior Online Programmer, where you could:  Design, develop, and operate online features for Ubisoft games  Create, optimize, and maintain scalable online services  Integrate services with games and build supporting web tools for game development, monitoring, and live operations  Develop reliable solutions that support millions of players worldwide  Monitor service performance and contribute to system reliability and availability  Troubleshoot and resolve issues identified by devs, QA, production teams, or players  Participate in performance optimization and scalability initiatives  Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies  Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality player experiences  Document systems and share knowledge with teammates and other development disciplines  What We're Looking For  We are looking for enthusiastic learners who are passionate about technology and excited to grow their careers in software development.  Qualifications  Good knowledge of C# and .NET  Basic knowledge of backend development and RESTful APIs  Understanding of microservices architecture principles  Basic knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases  Basic knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript  Basic understanding of frontend development concepts  Nice to Have  Personal, academic, or pet projects demonstrating your programming skills  Familiarity with Git or other version control systems  Interest in cloud technologies and distributed systems  Passion for video games and online gaming experiences  Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset  Good communication and teamwork skills  Curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies  What You Can Expect  Mentorship from experienced Ubisoft programmers  Hands-on learning through practical development tasks  Exposure to real-world online services technologies and workflows  Opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects  Professional growth in a collaborative and supportive environment  Networking opportunities with experts across Ubisoft  Potential career opportunities after successful completion of the program  Competitive remuneration throughout the internship
