About The Role We are looking for a UE5 Cinematic Artist to bring our mobile games to life through high-impact marketing visuals. In this role, you will own the ad production pipeline — taking storyboards and bringing them to life through cinematic production, rendering, and editing — serving as the cinematic backbone of our creative team.

We value animation craftsmanship and visual storytelling. You will work closely with the art team on assets, environment setup, and VFX, and have the opportunity to leverage an AI-native workflow to bypass traditional asset bottlenecks. This lets you focus on what matters most: cinematic rhythm, visual feedback, and creating content that makes players want to hit "Install." Key Responsibilities Cinematic Production in UE5 Sequencer-Driven Cinematics: Own the full cinematic pipeline in UE5 Sequencer — camera choreography, lighting, timing, and shot composition to produce scroll-stopping ad content.

In-Engine Layout & Staging: Take character and environment assets from the art team, place and stage them in-engine, and organize animation sequences (idle, action, ability showcases) to match the creative vision.

Blueprint & Technical Setup: Use Blueprints to support cinematic workflows — triggering events, managing scene logic, and solving technical problems that keep production moving.

Animation Rhythm & Visual Feedback Cinematic Rhythm: Craft sequences with strong pacing, anticipation, and payoff — ensuring the first 3 seconds grab attention and every beat after earns the viewer's time.

Visual "Juice" & Feedback: Layer purposeful screen shake, hit feedback, UI animation, and VFX timing to make the player experience feel rewarding and high-impact. You understand why great games feel great.

Cross-Team Collaboration Art Team Partnership: Deeply communicate with the art team on asset readiness, environment dressing, character setup, and VFX needs. You are the bridge between art production and marketing output.

Compositing & Style Alignment: Combine 3D renders, 2D elements, and UI into a cohesive visual style that aligns with our "Cartoon Military" aesthetic.

Rendering, Editing & Delivery Rendering & Output: Manage rendering settings and output quality to deliver polished sequences ready for post-production.

Simple Editing & Assembly: Handle basic editing — cutting, sequencing, and assembling rendered shots into final ad creatives with clean pacing.

Rapid Iteration & Versioning: Quickly remix winning concepts into multiple variations (swapping hooks, music, or CTAs) based on UA team feedback, with all exports optimized for mobile platform specs.

Required Qualifications Proven Experience & Strong Portfolio: Demonstrated experience in 3D motion, animation, cinematic production, or ads — backed by a portfolio that shows your range and craft. Gaming or social media advertising experience is a strong plus.

UE5 Sequencer Mastery: Deep, hands-on proficiency with Sequencer — you live in timelines, camera tracks, and lighting setups. This is your primary tool.

Blueprint Literacy: Comfortable using Blueprints to support and extend cinematic workflows (event triggers, scene logic, automation).

Animation Sense: Strong understanding of animation rhythm, timing, easing, and visual feedback principles — you know what makes a sequence feel punchy and satisfying even without being a character animator.

Composition & Game Feel: A keen eye for shot composition, cinematic staging, and "gamefeel" that ensures every frame is visually compelling.

Preferred Qualification Character Animation Knowledge: Familiarity with character animation workflows in Maya, Blender, or similar DCC tools — enough to polish or troubleshoot movements.

2D Animation & Post-Processing: Proficiency in After Effects for compositing, motion graphics, color grading, and adding VFX layers to rendered sequences.

Video Editing: Experience with Premiere Pro or similar tools for rhythmic editing, sound design, and final assembly.

Storyboard Literacy: Ability to read, interpret, and provide constructive feedback on storyboards — you understand visual storytelling well enough to flag issues and suggest improvements before production begins.

Niagara VFX: Experience with UE5's Niagara particle system for creating or tweaking in-engine VFX.

Game Passion: You play a lot of games and have strong opinions about what makes them fun. That sensibility shows up in your work.

AI Integration: Experience using AI tools (Midjourney, Runway, etc.) to accelerate asset generation, texture creation, or production workflows.
