About the Role We are seeking a highly analytical and product-minded Lead Game Systems & Economy Designer to own the numerical design, progression systems, economy balance, reward structures, and long-term player growth model for our next-generation mobile game.

This role sits at the intersection of game design, data analysis, player psychology, monetization, and live operations. You will design the mathematical foundation that drives player progression, combat balance, resource flow, retention, event participation, and long-term engagement.

We are looking for someone who understands that game balance is not only about spreadsheets. Strong numerical design should help players clearly understand goals, feel meaningful progress, make interesting choices, and remain engaged over time. You will work closely with game designers, product managers, backend engineers, client engineers, data analysts, and live-ops teams to build systems that are both fun and measurable.

You will also help establish AI-assisted design workflows, using AI tools to accelerate simulation, balance iteration, content generation, economy analysis, and live-service experimentation.

Responsibilities • Lead the design and balancing of game systems, including progression, economy, combat, rewards, currencies, and long-term player growth.

• Develop mathematical models, simulations, and tuning frameworks to optimize player engagement, retention, and monetization.

• Design and maintain live-service systems such as events, battle passes, stores, remote configuration, and A/B testing.

• Analyze player data, economy health, and gameplay metrics to identify opportunities and drive data-informed design improvements.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, game design, UI/UX, data, QA, and live-ops teams to deliver scalable, player-focused systems.

• Create clear documentation, balance tools, and workflows to support efficient iteration and long-term maintainability.

• Champion AI-assisted design workflows to accelerate simulation, balancing, content generation, and design validation.

Requirements • 5+ years of professional game design experience, with expertise in systems design, economy design, or game balancing.

• Proven experience designing progression, combat, economy, reward, or monetization systems for shipped games.

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with advanced spreadsheet modeling and simulation experience.

• Deep understanding of free-to-play mobile game design, including progression, player motivation, retention, monetization, and live operations.

• Experience using analytics, telemetry, dashboards, and A/B testing to inform game design decisions.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across product, engineering, design, UI/UX, data, QA, and live-ops teams.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills, with a practical mindset that balances player experience, business goals, and production efficiency.

• Passion for mobile games and familiarity with AI-assisted design tools and modern live-service development practices.
