Roles & Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize physics systems that deliver realistic and responsive gameplay experiences.
Implement and enhance ball physics, player interactions, collision detection, character movement, and gameplay simulation.
Collaborate closely with Gameplay Programmers, Game Designers, Animation, and Technical Art teams to create immersive gameplay mechanics.
Analyze, debug, and optimize physics-related systems for performance, stability, and scalability across supported platforms.
Develop reusable, maintainable, and high-performance systems using Unreal Engine 5 and modern C++.
Drive technical discussions, mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to engineering best practices.
Requirements 5+ years of professional experience in gameplay or physics programming.
Strong proficiency in C++ and Unreal Engine (UE4/UE5).
Deep understanding of rigid body dynamics, collision detection, character physics, constraints, and simulation techniques.
Experience working with Unreal's Chaos Physics or equivalent physics engines.
Strong debugging, profiling, and optimization skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities with a passion for building high-quality gameplay systems.
Experience working on shipped PC, Console, or Mobile titles is highly preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Nice to Have Experience developing sports, racing, simulation, or AAA action games.
Familiarity with networking and multiplayer physics synchronization.
Experience building custom gameplay physics systems or engine-level features.
Knowledge of animation systems, inverse kinematics (IK), and procedural motion.
