Based in Tel Aviv and founded in 2020, the team has published more than 150 titles across the hybrid casual and casual space, backed by deep expertise in game analysis, monetisation and user acquisition. Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned, hands-on Head of Engineering to drive technical excellence and lead Supersonic’s core development teams at scale. Acting as both a technical authority and people leader, you will manage multidisciplinary teams responsible for publishing SDKs, advanced level-generation tools, client-facing cloud integrations and multiple games.

You will oversee engineering execution and workflows across a diverse portfolio, including three core SDKs, two backend systems and multiple in-house games, while continually improving production pipelines. This is a highly strategic role requiring deep expertise in Unity performance, tooling and cross-team communication to ensure our portfolio can scale seamlessly for millions of daily active users.

This role will suit a hands-on, action-oriented leader who communicates clearly, stays open-minded and can move comfortably between code, architecture, people leadership, product priorities and business needs. The position is based in Tel Aviv, with four days per week in the office and Sunday working from home.

Key Responsibilities

Manage, mentor and develop three multidisciplinary teams comprising developers, QA engineers, technical artists and game designers.

Own technical direction, architecture, maintenance and execution across three core SDKs, two backend systems and multiple in-house games.

Remain hands-on with Unity development, acting as the technical authority for complex problem-solving, architecture and code where needed.

Take ownership of product needs as well as technical delivery, translating priorities from engineering, product and monetization stakeholders into clear, actionable roadmaps.

Drive the architecture and development of internal tooling, including custom Unity Editor scripts and algorithmic or procedural level-generation systems that empower game designers across projects.

Define, implement and continually improve engineering workflows, automation and CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, stable game builds across the portfolio.

Oversee cloud and backend integrations that power critical, data-driven client features, bridging technical work across client, infrastructure and server-side teams.

Lead Unity performance and optimization strategies across mobile devices, including memory management, CPU/GPU profiling, load times and frame rates.

Support scalable LiveOps and data-driven feature deployment, including remote configuration and A/B testing, while serving as the central technical leader across engineering, product and monetization teams.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

10+ years of professional software-development experience, with a dominant focus on Unity, C# and mobile game production.

Expert-level knowledge of Unity, including custom Editor scripting, AssetBundles or Addressables, and extending the Unity pipeline.

A strong track record of managing, mentoring and scaling multidisciplinary engineering teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Strong experience developing clean, modular and reusable SDKs or packages used across multiple projects or a broad game portfolio.

Deep mobile LiveOps experience, including remote configuration, A/B testing frameworks and data-driven feature deployment; experience in hyper-casual or hybrid-casual development is valuable.

Hands-on experience building complex content tools, including level-generation or algorithmic layout systems.

Experience integrating cloud services or proprietary game servers to support live client features; familiarity with platforms such as Firebase, AWS or GCP is valuable.

Experience configuring and overseeing CI/CD pipelines for mobile game development using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Unity Build Automation.

Advanced Unity profiling and mobile optimization skills, including experience with Unity Profiler, Memory Profiler and Frame Debugger across low- and high-end devices.

Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and lead effective cross-team workflows in English.
