What You’ll Do

As a Playable Ads Developer , you will work at the intersection of game development, creative technology, design and art. You will build interactive, playable ads, prototypes and reusable creative systems that help our teams test ideas, showcase game mechanics and deliver engaging experiences for User Acquisition campaigns.

Build interactive playable ads, prototypes and lightweight game experiences for mobile User Acquisition campaigns

Translate creative briefs, game mechanics and visual concepts into engaging, responsive and production-ready playable experiences

Develop playable content using Unity, C#, HTML5, JavaScript/TypeScript and relevant game frameworks

Work directly with 2D and 3D assets, including characters, environments, UI, animation, VFX, lighting, materials and camera setups

Adapt and optimize assets from existing game projects for use in lightweight playable experiences

Make thoughtful decisions around composition, colour, motion, pacing, interaction design and visual clarity

Create intuitive onboarding flows, gameplay interactions, end cards and calls to action that communicate the core mechanic quickly

Iterate rapidly on different creative concepts, gameplay variations, visual treatments and performance-driven improvements

Package and deliver playables for platforms and ad networks such as AppLovin, Unity Ads, Google and other relevant environments

Optimize experiences for strict technical constraints, including file size, loading time, memory usage, frame rate, draw calls, texture compression and responsive layouts

Test and debug playables across different devices, screen sizes, orientations and input methods

Collaborate closely with Creative Strategy, User Acquisition, Production, Engineering, artists and designers

Help develop reusable templates, components, workflows and tools that increase the speed and consistency of playable production

Contribute to documentation, technical standards and best practices for playable ads and interactive creative

Explore the use of AI and automation to accelerate prototyping, asset preparation, iteration and playable production

What We’re Looking For

3+ years of experience building interactive experiences, game prototypes, playable ads, mobile games or similar creative technology products

Strong hands-on experience with Unity and C#, or an equivalent game engine and programming environment

A strong artistic eye and practical understanding of visual composition, animation, color, timing, UI and interaction design

Experience working directly with 2D and/or 3D game assets and integrating them into interactive experiences

Understanding of mobile performance constraints, including build size, load time, memory, FPS, texture compression and asset optimization

Experience working with tools or frameworks such as Cocos, Phaser, PixiJS, PlayCanvas, Godot or other relevant technologies is valuable

Comfortable taking ownership from an initial brief through implementation, optimization, QA and final delivery

Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams

Pragmatic, curious and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where ideas need to be tested and improved quickly

A portfolio of playable ads, interactive prototypes, games or other relevant creative technology work

Nice to Have

Experience with HTML5, JavaScript or TypeScript, and an understanding of how interactive experiences run in constrained mobile environments

Experience working with AppLovin, Unity Ads, Google Ads, Meta or other playable ad networks

Knowledge of User Acquisition metrics such as CTR, IPM, CPI, retention and conversion

Experience creating or optimizing 3D WebGL experiences

Experience with Blender, Maya, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Spine or similar creative tools

Knowledge of animation systems, shaders, particles, lighting, materials and post-processing

Experience creating responsive UI and interaction systems for different mobile aspect ratios

Experience building reusable templates, components, editor tools or export pipelines

Familiarity with Node.js, build automation, Git and basic testing workflows

Experience using AI tools to support code generation, prototyping, asset iteration or creative production
