Product Analyst Intern - Slingshot Studios (Paid Internship) Hyderabad You will report to the Analytics Manager or Senior Analyst.
Role Overview As EA's first label dedicated to purely digital games, EA Mobile creates games for mobile devices, social networks and online environments that deliver seamless play anytime, anywhere, on any device. Connecting a market of more than one billion core and mass-casual gamers worldwide, EA All Play delivers engaging, accessible, high-quality games to people of all skill levels and interests.
EA Hyderabad’s Slingshot Studios has been leading innovation in Mobile Game development and Live Service. Millions across the globe cherish and download these games. Examples of these games include Covet Fashion, Need for Speed No Limits, and Plants vs Zombies. The studio has also forged co-development partnerships with other EA studios with a commitment to high-quality game updates.

Responsibilities You will work with analysts and product partners to understand player behavior, game performance, and business questions using data.
You will use SQL to extract and transform data, and R or Python to explore datasets, test hypotheses, and communicate insights.
You will support focused analytics projects in areas such as player engagement, retention, monetization, experimentation, segmentation, forecasting, or anomaly detection.
You will apply statistical and data science fundamentals to real-world problems, validate your findings, and clearly document assumptions and limitations.
You will create clear visualizations and summaries that help product and game teams understand findings and make informed decisions.
You will collaborate with experienced analysts, participate in analytical discussions and reviews, and document your methodology so that your work can be reproduced and extended.
Qualifications We encourage you to apply if you can meet most of the requirements and are comfortable opening a dialogue to be considered.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field Working knowledge of SQL, including joins, aggregations, CTEs, and basic window functions Working knowledge of either R or Python for data analysis, including data manipulation, exploratory analysis, and visualization Solid foundation in statistics, including descriptive statistics, probability, sampling, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, correlation, and regression fundamentals Basic understanding of data science concepts such as regression/classification, clustering, train/test validation, model evaluation, and overfitting Bonus: Academic, personal, or internship projects demonstrating end-to-end analytical problem solving Exposure to experimentation, time-series analysis, forecasting, anomaly detection, segmentation, or predictive modeling Experience with data visualization tools or libraries and the ability to communicate analytical findings clearly Interest in games, digital products, consumer behavior, or using modern AI-assisted tools responsibly to accelerate analytical work What this opportunity provides: Work with experienced analytics and game teams on real-world, large-scale player and product data.
